Das Mindestmaß um Barrieren in Videos zu minimieren, ist das zur Verfügung stellen von Untertiteln. Dies ist nicht nur für hörbeeinträchtige Menschen hilfreich, sondern für alle, die auch eine andere Muttersprache sprechen oder sich das Video in einer lauten Umgebung oder mobil ohne Kopfhörer anschauen.

Eine möglichst barrierefreie Nutzung von Moodle wird dann möglich, wenn nicht nur das Moodle-System selbst barrierefrei gestaltet ist, sondern auch die Moodle-Kurse und die darin befindlichen Materialien.

Barrierefreie Dokumente sind für alle von Vorteil. Sie sind klar strukturiert und technisch so aufbereitet, dass sie beispielsweise von Screen-Readern vorgelesen und Inhalte gezielt angesteuert werden können.
