As an Orientation Week Tutor to Support Start of University

In order to make it easier for first-semester students to start their studies, an orientation week (OWO) takes place at the beginning of the semester, during which the students in small groups are supervised by student tutors from higher semesters ("OWO tutors"). To enable you as an OWO organizer or student council to prepare the OWO tutors for their work with the groups of first-semester students, the Center for Educational Development and Technology offers you a qualification as an OWO multiplier.

Qualification for orientation week multipliers

As an OWO multiplier, you will learn how to qualify OWO tutors in a targeted manner so that they can respond to your first-year students and successfully supervise small groups.

Team and “getting to know” games

In orientation week, the team and getting to know games are an important part. OWO tutors can use these to promote student networking.

We offer various team games to the departments for loan in the OWO. Get in touch with us if you are looking for tips and ideas for additional games.

In our handout we provide examples and instructions for different (online) games.
