Mentally and Emotionally Strong Through the Day

Workshop for Learning Groups, Teams, Departments and Individuals

2022/04/28

How do we manage to stay emotionally strong and mentally balanced even in challenging situations in everyday life in order to sustainably maintain or promote our well-being and health?

Feeling good all around – mentally, emotionally and physically – comes easily to us in relaxed situations. In our studies, work and everyday life, however, especially in difficult situations, we experience stress more quickly, more frequently and more intensively. For example, in studies due to exam anxiety or stress, in everyday life, as well as in the classroom due to too many and complex demands that are placed on us at the same time. In the long run, this can lead to impairment or even loss of our health. Teachers cope with numerous challenging situations on a daily basis: in addition to maintaining the attention and concentration of the students, they often have to manage conflicts at the same time, accompany the students in the regulation of their emotions (anger, annoyance, frustration, fear, …) and also regulate their own emotions (stress, helplessness, excessive demands) in these situations, and all this often at the same time. How do we manage to stay emotionally and mentally balanced even in these challenging situations in order to sustainably maintain or promote our well-being and health?
