How to Promote Critical Thinking in Teaching
A basic prerequisite for scientific work is the ability to think critically. Encouraging critical thinking in students is therefore an important part of higher education. But what does critical thinking mean and how can it be encouraged? In this workshop, we will reflect on our own understanding of critical thinking and work out ways to develop and promote critical thinking in students.

Learning outcomes: The participants will …
  • be able to define their own understanding of critical thinking,
  • be able to name ways of encouraging critical thinking,
  • have developed ideas for promoting critical thinking in their own course.

  • Reflection on own understanding of critical thinking
