Directions to the HDA
The HDA consists of two campuses: City Centre Campus and Lichtwiese Campus.
Both campuses can be easily accessed using public transportation. We would recommend taking public transportation to access both campuses.
City Centre Campus
Arrival by train or bus
ICE, IC and EC trains stop at Darmstadt Station, making it very well connected with the German distance railway network. There are regional connections with Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, Aschaffenburg, Mannheim and Heidelberg as well as Erbach and Eberbach.
Campus Lichtwiese has its own bus stop as well as an Odenwaldbahn (VIAS) train station, which connects to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main station) via Darmstadt Nordbahnhof and Darmstadt Ostbahnhof.
To get to the City Centre Campus, take public transport to the Willy Brandt Platz or Schloss tram or bus stop.
To get to Campus TU-Lichtwiese by public transport, take the bus to TU Lichtwiese/Mensa, or the Odenwaldbahn (VIAS) to Darmstadt TU-Lichtwiese Bahnhof.
The offices of the HDA are within walking distance, just a few minutes by foot, from the bus/tram stop.
Accessing the campus by car
If you would like to drive to the campuses, please be advised that parking, especially at the city centre campus, is very limited.
Please refer to the Webseite des Mobilitätsmagements for information regarding parking.
